A robust native with big, bold, basal leaves.
Tall stems rise well above the foliage bearing clusters sunflower-like yellow flowers. Foliage grows 2-3ft tall & flower stalks may reach up to 8ft tall.
Seedheads attract finches & other songbirds.
Blooms in full sun July-Sept.

Thrives in dry to medium soil. Tolerant to clay.
