Great ground cover for shaded, moist areas. Overtime large colonies of flat-topped clusters of yellow daisy-like flowers with yellow center disks rise above basal clumps of heart -shaped, dark green foliage.
Leaves are a very few food source for the larvae of the northern metalmark butterfly.
Grows 1-2 ft tall in medium to moist soil, but can tolerate dry conditions once established & in shaded areas.
Blooms in full sun to partial shade in early spring.
