Naturally occurs in dry, open fields, eroded slopes, dry open woods, & thickets. Good for naturalized or poor soil areas. 

Blooms in full Sun Aug-Sept. 

Grows 1-2ft tall. 

Provides critical late season nectar for butterflies & bees.
