Thrives in well-drained to slightly damp soil, including clay, loam, & sand.

Spreads slowly by branching rhizomes to form large colonies over time.

Cannot tolerate dry soil. Needs to stay constantly moist & shelter from the wind. Grows 1-2ft tall
